On October 1, the research team led by Prof. Xu Tongda of Haixia Institute of Science and Technology (HIST) published an article entitled “Noncanonical auxin signaling regulates cell division pattern during lateral root development” in PNAS (IF=9.504). The paper reported that auxin activates Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase (MAPK) signaling via transmembrane kinases (TMKs) to control cell division pattern during lateral root development .

The first authors are Lecturer HuangRongfeng (Horticulture Biology and Metabolomics Center, HIST) and Dr. ZhengRui (Shanghai Center for Plant Stress Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is abbreviated as PSC). Prof. XuTongda of Horticulture Biology and Metabolomics Center, HIST, is the corresponding author, and associateprofessor He Jun of the research team is the co-corresponding author.
The study was supported by the Key Research Youth Program from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Talent Start-up Funding of FAFU.
