In the morning of April 3rd, a video lecture on prevention and control of COVID-19 was jointly held by the Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in The Republic of South Africa and relevant departments of Shanghai Municipal Government. The video lecture was attended by Sun Xiaodong, the deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Center For Disease Control and Prevention (SCDC), officials from Foreign Affairs Offices of Shanghai Municipal Government, staff of the Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in The Republic of South Africa, representatives of China-invested enterprises as well as teachers, students, experts and scholars of Confucius Institute (CI).

After the video lecture, faculties of CI learned more about the precautions of COVID-19. Inspired by China’s experience in fighting of COVID-19, they would make concerted efforts to get through the epidemic by intensifying self-protection and obeying the local prevention and control regulations.
